Premium Beauty News-What are the main innovations of Fiabila this year?

Alexandre Miasnik-Paradoxically, as consumers increasingly pursue purity, nature and safety, "gel" or "semi-permanent" nail polishes are becoming more and more popular in most countries. The problem is that these products contain monomers, which means that they are harmful and do not comply with cosmetic regulations or the blacklist of most brands widely recognized in the nail polish market. Their closed nail membranes can lead to the risk of allergies and damage to the user, as well as the risk of skin or respiratory reactions caused by nail art.

At Fiabila, the use of safe raw materials to develop alternative formulations has been at the core of our R&D strategy for many years. Therefore, we will focus on developing UV reaction technology to eliminate monomers. We now offer two product lines: Sun Prodigy, which reacts to natural UV rays and can be used at home, and Salon Prodigy, which is more professional because it is in Applied under LED lights. Both can easily last up to 15 days and can be easily taken out at home.

At the same time, we continue to upgrade the "conventional" formulations to achieve high performance levels, at least considering the current research and available raw materials.

Advanced Beauty News-Nail care seems to be becoming more and more powerful. Is this a key growth path for Fiabila?

Alexandre Miasnik-Nail care is essential. Almost all women worry about broken, weakened or dry nails.

The use of the gel makes things worse, especially because most women use another application method to hide the unsightly nails after application, which will deprive the nails of oxygen for several weeks and change their condition. The fact that the salon was closed during the lockdown to prevent the product from being removed further exacerbated the problem.

The demand for intensive nail care products is high, so we have developed a series of products designed to repair and nourish nails, especially by adding natural active substances, vitamins, vegetable oils and fruit extracts. Although these products are cosmetics, not pharmaceuticals, we guarantee their efficacy through systematic testing of consumer panels.

In addition, in order to make our product series more attractive, because they are usually transparent in other products, we have colored them and even added some fragrance to increase the fun of use, especially to attract young consumers .

Advanced Beauty News-Is the concept of nature in the field of nail polish further developed?

Alexandre Miasnik-Nature is a concept that is gradually disappearing from many other concepts: organic, biologically derived, clean, vegan, etc. In fact, consumers, and sometimes even brands, are often lost or misled. For example, organic semi-permanent nail polish may be harmful because it still contains allergenic ingredients.

When it comes to nail polish, naturalness usually means that the former petroleum-based raw materials are replaced by agricultural products that have exactly the same properties. This is an important step forward: today, most series releases involve products of natural origin.

Premium Beauty News-Many traditional brands claim that some of their products are natural. What do you think of this matter?

Alexandre Miasnik-The most important thing is consumer safety. European cosmetics regulations and many other regulations help to a great extent eliminate harmful substances on the market, and the effect is better. At Fiabila, the pursuit of increasingly pure ingredients has led us to devote ourselves to the development of natural-sourced raw materials for our formulations.

Premium Beauty News-How is the manufacturing process? Does the brand take them into consideration when developing cleaning formulas?

Alexandre Miasnik-This is a key issue-our customers' requirements in this field are extreme. Nail polish is a high-tech product; manufacturing requires a lot of expertise. There are two challenges: using a process that meets specifications while providing the required performance, and recently meeting very demanding manufacturing standards.

At Fiabila, we have installed fully automated systems for the manufacture of suspension bases at three main bases in France, the United States and Brazil, and we are the only company with such equipment. Therefore, we provide products with incredible quality consistency, we avoid pollution risks and minimize pollution emissions.

Premium Beauty News-The global nail polish market seems to have taken advantage of different lock-in periods. Can you confirm?

Alexandre Miasnik-Women never stop making up; they keep buying products. However, the situation is indeed different from one geographic area to another. Anyway, obviously, many women who are used to going to salons paint their nail polish at home!
