I'm a Target super fan - you can now get a $10 manicure in just 10 minutes - I love it but others aren't so sure | The US Sun

GETTING a manicure leaves you looking and feeling fabulous, but your bank account can often take a blow.

Some Target customers can now save themselves the time and money of going to a nail salon by getting a speedy manicure in store by a robot.

Instagram user My Curly Adventures showed her followers how she got a $10 manicure from a machine in her local Target.

The automated manicure machine is located at six select Targets in Texas, Minnesota, and California.

You begin by selecting your desired color from one of Clockwork's 25 available.

While the Clockwork machine may not provide a long-lasting gel manicure, its "minicure" uses high quality polish from brands such as Essie, China Glaze and OPI.

A short tutorial will show you how to do this and what order to place your fingers in the machine, and there is a Target attendant nearby if needed.

The machine uses 3D cameras to develop an image of your nails and begins outlining your nail with polish, slowly working its way in as though icing a cookie.

The Clockwork machine applies two layers of nail polish.

While the machine cannot cut or shape your nails, or treat your cuticles, it can change your color in just 10 minutes.

Instagram users were divided on the concept in the comments section of My Curly Adventures' video.

One follower wrote: "I don’t even feel 100% comfortable when a person gives me a mani/pedi. Definitely wouldn’t trust a robot to do a real one."

Another user agreed: "Well...its looks more like a nail polish robot kiosk...not exactly a proper mani."

The limited abilities of the machine were mentioned by other commenters. One person said: "This machine finds your nail and polishes it. It doesn’t push back cuticles or trim them."

To which another user replied: "That’s not a manicure then. I can get my nails painted for $10 or less just about anywhere."

Other viewers were impressed by the convenience of the technology. One person commented: "This is perfect when one of your nails polish is chipped without having to go to the nail salon."

"Wow, Target…please, just keep taking my money," said another user.
